Terms and Conditions for English Tuition

Responsibilities:

1.The client will declare all medical information pertaining to his/herself including any known allergies or allergic reactions previously experienced.

2. I strive to provide the best possible service. Although I will do everything in my power to help grades and skill sets improve, I can offer no guarantee of particular outcomes. I therefore cannot be held accountable or responsible for the academic success or lack thereof demonstrated by the student/client. Tuition is supplementary to the education provided by the school/college and not intended as a replacement provision.

3. It is the responsibility of the student/client to provide me with accurate information regarding the examination board being used by the school and any specific information about the route being taken through this specification. This information must be included on the new tutee registration form and signed by the parent.

4. The client agrees to communicate honestly, be open to feedback and assistance and create the time and energy to participate fully in the programme. I reserve the right to withdraw tuition services if the student does not engage productively in the sessions.

5. Whilst all due care is taken to ensure the safety of the client and personal possessions, the client shall remain entirely responsible for his/her choice of attendance and behaviour on the premises.

Confidentiality:

Sessions are completely private and confidential, the only exception is should a situation arise where harm to others or the client is an identified risk. Consent to share such information will be sought if considered appropriate to do so. Safeguarding vulnerable children and adults is paramount.

Cost:

A deposit (the fee for one lesson) is payable at the commencement of the tuition to cover cancellation of less than 24 hours’ notice. Failure to provide at least 24 hours’ notice will result in the deposit being taken. A new deposit will then need to be paid the following lesson in order to continue the tuition.

If a cancellation is made with more than 24 hours’ notice, an alternative tuition time will be offered, though it may not always be possible to accommodate rescheduling of lessons, in which case the lesson will be missed that week without the need for payment.

If I have to cancel a lesson, I will endeavour to reorganise the lesson for a mutually convenient time as soon as possible.

Cancellation Policy:

24 hours’ notice is required for the cancellation of a session.  The full session price will be charged if less than 24 hours’ notice is given.

Sessions are at an agreed time and any session that begins late due to the client cannot be extended beyond the agreed time. Sessions last around 60 minutes.

Location:

Sessions either take place at my home in Eastwood, Leigh on Sea or online via Zoom. 

 Terms and Conditions for Life Coaching

Coaching is a partnership between the Coach and the Client in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the client to maximise personal potential.

Responsibilities:

1.The client is responsible for creating and implementing his/her own physical, mental and emotional well-being, decisions, choices, actions and results. As such, the client agrees that the coach is not and will not be liable for any actions or inaction, or for any direct or indirect result of any services provided by the coach. The client understands coaching is not therapy and does not substitute for therapy if needed, and does not prevent, cure, or treat any mental disorder or medical disease.

2. The client understands that coaching is not to be used as a substitute for professional advice by legal, mental, medical or other qualified professionals and will seek independent professional guidance for such matters. If the client is currently under the care of a mental health professional, the coach will recommend that the client inform the mental health care provider.

Life Coaching sessions are charged at £75.00 per session. Fees are payable by bank transfer at the time of the booking.  The booking will be confirmed once the fees are received.
